Sukha Arts Center in Harrington Park believes in a yoga by donation philosophy.  Yoga has long been considered a gift of knowledge, and Sukha Art Center only asks for a donation of what you can afford ($10 is recommended) instead of a fixed fee per class.  Their robust schedule of classes and different instructors can accommodate busy schedules and levels of experience.  Sukha also offers family classes on Sunday and classes geared towards expecting and new moms.  The owner is Christine O’Donnell, who has added a great retail shop to her ground level studio with comfy, hip dance wear, yoga apparel and other locally sourced goodies.  (She’s also expanded her space to offer art, meditation and more dance classes.  Love this place, Christine and her instructors.)  Sukha Arts Center is located at 76 Schraalenburgh Rd in Harrington Park, NJ. 201.768.2455

Birchwood Center in Nyack offers yoga classes from beginners to advanced, massage therapy and teacher training classes for yoga instructor certifications.  You can also book private group events at Birchwood.  New members receive one month of unlimited classes for $40.00.  You can also purchase gift cards from Birchwood online making it a great last minute gift idea.  Birchwood Center is located at 85 South Broadway in Nyack.  845.358.6409

The Spectrum Wellness Center in Old Tappan keeps their class sizes small to ensure hands on, individualized attention and incorporates the newest and most innovative classes.  In addition to yoga classes, Spectrum Wellness offers ballet barre, pilates, zumba and more.  Yoga classes are $13.00 each or 14 classes for $130.00 and are taught by Lori Brophy, who is wonderful.  Spectrum Wellness is located at 184 Central Avenue in Old Tappan.  201.768.2000
